Tips and Tricks:
- Always use a nap layout
- Spread bulky and thick fabric right side up in a single layer
- Cut using duplicate pattern pieces
- Mark the wrong side with a chalked arrow in the direction of the nap
- Lengthen the stitch slightly for medium weight woolens and more for heavy fabrics
- Understitch by machine or hand so the facings don‰۪t roll to the outside
- Stabilize shoulders, waist and edges to prevent stretching
- For a flatter finish slash and spread darts open
- Underline pants and skirts to preserve shape
- Medium steam when pressing and use a pressing cloth
